secx-p=-tanx
then squaring both sides,
(secx)^2 +p^2 -2psecx=(tanx)^2
(secx)^2-(tanx)^2 +p^2=2psecx
1 +p^2=2psecx
secx = ( 1+p^2 ) ÷ 2p
