Answer

Light fixed charge = Rs x

And running charge = Rs y per km

According to the question

Sheetal travelling 70 kilometre = Rs 915

x + 70y =915 .........eq (1)

Again sheetal travelling 100 kilometre = Rs 1250

x + 100y = 1250 ............eq (2)

solve by elimination method

subtracting eq.(1) from eq.(2), we get

-30y = -335

y = -335/-30

y = 11.166666667

on putting y=11.166666667 in eq.(1)

x + 70 X 11.166666667=915

x+ 781.66666669 = 915

x = 915-781.66666669

x = 133.33333331

hence, fixed charge = x= Rs133.33333331

And running charge = y = Rs11.166666667 per km

this is a correct answer

I hope you are satisfied my answer
