One day he ate=3/10kg 
On Saturday he ate=1/2kg
Total weight of cherry he ate=3/10+1/2
                                             =(6+10)/20
                                             = 16/20 or, 4/5 
Total weight of cherry left=1/1-4/5
                                        =(5-4)/5
                                        =1/5 of a kg
