We know that,

Sin a = 3/4

So, as before substituting values, p/h

Cos a = base / height

Hence, b = \sqrt {h^2 - p^2}

  = \sqrt {4^2 - 3^2}

               = \sqrt {16 - 9}

               = \sqrt {7}

Therefore, cos a = √7 / 4

tan a = p/b
= 3 / √7
