Given that ;/
SinA +cosA = 1 --------------(1)
Let sinA - cosA = x ---------(2)
Squaring eqn 1 and 2 and add them we get,
=> 2(sin^2A + cos^2A) = x^2 + 1
=> x^2 = 1
=) x = +- 1
And x = sinA - cosA = +-1
