solution!!...

 sin \: theta \:  =  \frac{1}{2}

sin \: theta \:  = 30

cos² theta + sin² theta = cos² 30° + sin² 30°

= (√3/2)² + (1/√3)²

= 3/4 + 1/3

= 13/12
