if sin theta=7/25 find value of cos theta and tan theta

Given : Value of sinθ = 7/25

To find : Values of cosθ and tanθ

Solution :

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

Here, we will be using normal trigonometric formulas to solve this mathematical problem.

Now, we know that :

sin²θ + cos²θ = 1

(7/25)² + cos²θ = 1

cos²θ = 1 - (7/25)²

cos²θ = 1 - (49/625)

cos²θ = 576/625

cosθ = 24/25

Now,

tanθ = sinθ ÷ cosθ

tanθ = (7/25) ÷ (24/25)

tanθ = 7/25 × 25/24

tanθ = 7/24

Used formulas :
