Answer:

(sin theta - cos theta)^2=(1/2)^2

sin^2theta+cos^2theta-2.sin theta.cos theta=1/4

1-2.sin theta. cos theta=1/4

2.sin theta.cos theta=1-1/4=3/4

now, (sin theta+cos theta)^2

sin^2theta+cos^2theta+2.sin theta.cos theta=1+3/4=7/4

so, sin theta +cos theta=√7/2

it is the correct answer..
