let us substitute theta with alpha

 \sin( \alpha )  =  \cos( \alpha )  \\ divide \: both \: by  \cos( \alpha )  \\  \frac{ \sin( \alpha ) }{ \cos( \alpha ) }  =  \frac{ \cos( \alpha ) }{ \cos( \alpha ) }  \\  =  >  \tan( \alpha )  = 1 \\  =  >  \tan( \alpha )  =  \tan(45)

on comparing both sides,

we get ,

 \alpha  = 45

or, ∅ = 45 °.
