If sin x = 12/13 and x lies in the 2nd quadrant. Show that, sec x + tan x = -5

Sin x= 12/13
By pythagorus theorem
Base = 5 cm

Now x lies is second quad
So sec x=- 13/5
Tanx=-12/5

Now sec x+ tan x= -13/5-12/5
= -25/5
= -5 proved...
