4 ^2 = base ^2 + 3^2

16 = base ^2 + 9

base ^2 = 16-9

base ^2 = 7

base becomes square root of 7 by taking square on both sides and cancelling square from base

so answer is

cos = base ÷hypotenus

cos = square root of 7 divided by 4
