sin a + cos a = root 2

sin a = root 2 - cos a
Now rationalising the denominator ,

sin a = root 2 - cos a * root 2 + cos a / root 2 + cos a

sin a = 2 - cos ^ 2/ root 2 + cos a
then further solve
