Divide whole eq. By cosA

We get,

 \frac{ \sin(a) }{ \cos(a) }  +  \frac{ \cos(a) }{ \cos(a) }  =  \sqrt{2}  \frac{ \cos(a)  }{ \cos(a) }

 \tan(a)  + 1 =  \sqrt{2}  \\  \tan(a =  \sqrt{2} - 1

CotA=1/root2 - 1

Now rationalise to get cotA value
