It is given that,

sin theta - cos thata = 0

=> sin theta = cos theta

=> sin theta / cos theta = 1

=> tan theta = 1

=> tan theta = tan 45°

=> theta = 45°

Therefore,

sin⁴ theta + cos⁴ theta

= sin⁴ 45° + cos⁴ 45°

= (1/√2)⁴ + (1/√2)⁴

= (1/4) + (1/4)

= (2/4)

= (1/2)

Hope it helps.
