Hi ,

Sin xcosy = 1/4 -----( 1 )

3tanx = 4tany

3sinx / cosx = 4siny / cosy

3sinxcosy/4 = cosxsiny

(3/4)× 1/4 = cosxsiny [ from ( 1 ) ]

cosxsiny = 3/16 ------( 2 )

Now ,

Sin(x - y ) = sinxcosy - cosxsiny

= 1/4 - 3/16 [ from ( 1 ) & ( 2 )]

= ( 4 - 3 ) / 16

= 1 / 16

Therefore ,

sin( x - y ) = 1/16

I hope this helps you.
