Let CP be Rs x .
Loss = 5/2 %
Therefore , SP = CP - 5/2%×CP
= x - 5/2%×x
= x - 5/2×1/100 × x
= x - x/40
= 39x/40
So, 39x/40 = 690
or , x = 690×40÷39
or , x = 707. 70 ( approx )
CP = Rs 707 . 70
