Tan(90 - 2a)= cot(a-18)

$because..... \\ \tan(90 - theta ) = \cot(theta)$

So....,

Cot (90-2a)= cot(a-18)

Now....., cot and cot will be canceled

So...., 90 - 2a = a - 18

- 2a - a = - 18 - 90

- 3a = - 108

Therefore..., a = 36
