A=36°

tan 2A can be written in terms of cot as:

tan 2A = cot(90°-2A)

∴cot(90°-2A) = cot(A-18°)

cot and cot will get cancelled.

90°-2A = A-18

On combining like and unlike terms, we get,

A+2A = 90°+18°

A = 36°
