Step-by-step explanation:

If tan theta =4/5,find the value of cos theta -sin theta /cos theta +sin theta

Tanθ = 4/5

(Cosθ - Sinθ)/(Cosθ + Sinθ)

Lets divide numerator & Denominator by Cosθ

= (1 - Sinθ/Cosθ)/(1 + Sinθ/Cosθ)

as Sinθ/Cosθ = Tanθ

= (1 - Tanθ)/(1 + Tanθ)

= (1 - 4/5)/(1 + 4/5)

= (1/5)/(9/5)

= 1/9
