Correct Question

If tan∅ = cot(30° + ∅), find vale of theta (∅).

Solution

→ tan∅ = cot(30° + ∅) [Given]

Because cot(90° - ∅) = tan∅

→ tan∅ = tan[90°- (30° + ∅)]

Here, collectively ∅ = 30° + ∅

→ tan∅ = tan(60° - ∅)

→ tan∅ = tan60° - tan∅

→ 2tan∅ = tan60°

→ ∅ = 60°/2

→ ∅ = 30°

Answer

30°
