Answer:

sin∅ = 3/5 or 0.6

cos∅ = 4/5 or 0.8

Note:

• Pythagoras theorem : In a tight angled triangle , the square of hypotenuse is equal to the sum of squares of other two sides.

h² = p² + b² , where p is perpendicular and b is bade.

• sin∅ = p/h

• cos∅ = b/h

• tan∅ = p/b

Solution:

Given: tan∅ = 0.75

To find: sin∅ , cos∅

Here,

We have ;

=> tan∅ = 0.75

=> tan∅ = 75/100

=> tan∅ = 3/4

Here,

perpendicular , p = 3

base , b = 4

Now,

Let's find hypotenuse using Pythagoras theorem.

=> h² = p² + b²

=> h² = 3² + 4²

=> h² = 9 + 16

=> h² = 25

=> h = √25

=> h = 5

Hence,

sin∅ = p/h = 3/5 = 0.6

cos∅ = b/h = 4/5 = 0.8
