Given,

 \sf \tan(x)  = 2

So,

 \sf \tan(2x)  =  \frac{2 \tan(x) }{1 -  { \tan}^{2}(x) }

 \sf =  \frac{4}{1 - 4}

 \sf =  \frac{ - 4}{3}

IF tan x = 2 , then , tan 2x = ?

 \tan( \alpha  +  \beta )  =  \frac{ \tan( \alpha )  +  \tan( \beta ) }{1 -  \tan( \alpha ) \tan( \beta )  }

SIMILARLY ,

=> tan 2x = tan ( x + x ) =

(tan x + tan x ) / ( 1 - tan x • tan x )

=> tan 2x = ( 2 + 2 ) / ( 1 - 2×2 )

=> tan 2x = 4 / ( 1 - 4 ) = 4/-3 = -4/3

SO , answer to your question is -4/3 .
