Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

tan a = 3/4

    a   = tan^3/4

a  + b = 90

tan^3/4 + b = 90

    b = 90 - tan^3/4

therefore:

cot b   =  cot (90 - tan ^ 3/4)

since

 formula    cot (90 - x)  = tan x

cot b = cot (90 - tan^ 3/4)

          = tan (tan^ 3/4)

cot b    =  3/4
