tanA + cotA =2
squaring both sides we get
(tanA + cotA)^2 = 4
tan^2 A + cot^2 A + 2tanAcotA= 4
we know tanA * cotA = 1
thus
tan^2 A + cot^2 A + 2 = 4
tan^2 A + cot^2 A = 2 (answer)
