the area of a square field is 5184 metres square find the area of a rectangular field whose perimeter is equal to the perimeter of the square field and was length is twice of its breadth

solution:
we know that
area \: of \: square \:  =  \:  {side }^{2} \\  = >  \: 5184 {m}^{2}  =  {side}^{2} \\  =  > side = 72m
Now;
perimeter of square = 4×side
=4×72m
=288m
since,
perimeter of rectangular = perimeter of square (given )
perimeter of rectangle = 288m
and, length of rectangle = 2 × breadth of rect. (given)
=> l = 2b .......... (i)
now,
we know that,
perimeter of rectangle = 2 (l+b)
=> 288m = 2 (2b+b) (from i )
=> 288÷2 = 3b
=> 3b= 144
=> b = 144÷ 3
=> b = 48 m
therefore,
length, l = 2b = 2× 48 = 96m
we know that,
area of rectangle = l × b
= 96 × 48

4608 {m}^{2}
