if TanA +secA = x then find tanA

tanA+secA = x => secA = x-tanA

=> root over ( 1+ tan^2 A)= x-tan A

=>SQUARING ON BOTH SIDES

=>1+ tan^2A = (X-tanA) ^2 => 1+ tan^2A = x^2 + tan^2A -2 tanA(x)

=> 1 = x^2 - 2 tanA (x)

=> x^ 2 - 2 tanA (x) -1 = 0

=> 2(X)  tanA = X^2 -1

=> tan A = (x^2 - 1)/2x
