If \frac{1}{5} of a number is subtracted from \frac{1}{3} of that number, the result is 6.Find the number.

Let the number be x

according to question

x/3-x/5 = 6

5x-3x/15 = 6

2x/15 = 6

x = 15×6/2

x= 15×3 = 45
