Step-by-step explanation:

A(15) = a+14d = x

A(28) = a+27d = y

So , 13d = y-x

d = (y-x)/13

Common difference (d) = (y-x)/13

Now , a + 14/13*(y-x) = x

a = x - 14(y-x)/13

a = (13x-14y+14x)/13

first term (a) = (27x-14y)/13
