If the 26 English alphabets are taken such that A=1, B=2, C=3,.....Z=26 then find i) The mean and median of the numbers corresponding to the vowels . ii) Which alphabet corresponds to the median

i) Vowels are A, E, I, O, U
A = 1, E = 5, I = 9, O = 15, U = 21
1, 5, 9, 15, 21
Mean = Sum of observations/Total no. of observations
Mean = 1 + 5 + 9 + 15 + 21/5
Mean = 51/5
Mean = 10.20

Median = (n+1)/2 [∵ n is odd]
Median = (5+1)/2
Median = 6/2
Median = 3.

ii) Alphabet 'C' corresponds to the median.
