Given :- If the absolute value of x is 9.8. Then the number of integers lie between the possible value of x is ?

Solution :-

given that,

→ | x | = 9.8

So,

→ x = 9.8 , if x ≥ 9.8 .

or,

→ x = -9.8 , if x ≤ - 9.8 .

Than, Possible values of x are (9.8) or (-9.8).

Now, we know that,

  • A integer is any number that is not either a decimal or a fraction .

Therefore,

Number of integers between 9.8 and (-9.8) are = 9, 8, 7, 6 , 5 , 4 , 3 , 2 , 1 , 0, -1 , -2 , -3, -4, -5, -6, -7, -8 and -9. = Total 19 . (Ans.)

Hence, the number of integers lie between the possible value of x is 19.
