Hiii friend,

Let the Length and Breadth be X and Y m
Area of rectangle = 24 cm

Length × Breadth = 24

X × Y = 24...(1)

Again,

Perimeter of rectangle = 22 cm

2(L+B) = 22

Length + Breadth = 22/2

Length + Breadth = 11

X + Y = 11......(2)

From equation (1) we get,

X × Y = 24

X = 24/Y......(3)

Putting the value of X in equation (2)

X + Y = 11

24/Y + Y = 11

24 + Y² = 11Y

Y²-11+24 = 0

Y² -6Y -4Y +24 = 0

Y(Y-6) -4(Y-6) = 0

(Y-6) (Y-4) = 0

(Y-6) = 0. OR (Y-4) = 0

Y = 6 Or Y = 4

When Y = 6

X = 24/Y = 24/6 = 4 cm

When Y = 4 cm

X = 24/Y = 24/4 = 6 cm

Therefore,

When Y = 6

Then,

The breadth of rectangle = Y = 6 cm

And,

Length of the rectangle = X = 4 cm

When Y = 4 cm

Then,

breadth of rectangle = Y = 4 cm

And,

length of rectangle = X = 6 cm

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU..... :-)
