Given :  area of rectangular floor of your class room is given by a polynomial p(x) = 2x²-3x -2

To Find :  length and the breadth of the floor in form of polynomials.

Solution:

p(x) = 2x²-3x -2

=> p(x) = 2x²-4x + x - 2

=> p(x) = 2x(x - 2) + 1(x - 2)

=> p(x) = (2x + 1)(x - 2)

area of rectangular  = length * breadth

length and breadth are  2x + 1   and   x - 2
