let dimensions of the cuboid be :  a cm, b cm, c cm

Areas of three adjacent faces are :  ab, bc, and ca, as they are rectangles with dimensions a, b, and c taken two at a time.

       ab = 108 cm²        --- (1)
       bc = 72 cm²         -- (2)
       ca = 96 cm²      -- (3)

Multiply first two and divide by the third one:
  ab * bc / ca = 108 * 72/ 96
   b² = 9²      => b = 9 cm
   From  (1),  a = 12 cm          and      from  (2)  c = 8 cm

volume = abc = 864 cm³
