The value of x is 8.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : If the average income of a family of 'x' members is Rs.25000 while average income of another family of 6 members is rs. 32000.

To find : The value of 'x' if the average income of both families is Rs.28000 ?

Solution :

According to question,

\dfrac{x\times 25000+6\times 32000}{x+6}=28000

25000x+192000=28000(x+6)

25000x+192000=28000x+168000

28000x-25000x=192000-168000

3000x=24000

x=\frac{24000}{3000}

x=8

Therefore, the value of x is 8.
