No i am not agree with this statement because average velocity is not same always to average speed. because average velocity is total displacement per unit time. and average speed is total distance per unit time.
so average speed and average velocity depend upon distance and displacement and time.
for example when body travel in circular track after one revolution displacement is zero but distance is = 2× pie × radius.
so average velocity is zero .
and average speed is 2 × pie × radius divided by time taken.
in this way we can say that average speed is not always same to average velocity.
