let base = b

altitude=h

area of triangle =(b×h) ÷2

if base and altitude are doubled

new base = 2b

new altitude = 2h

new area of triangle= (2b×2h)÷2 = 2(b×h)÷2 = b×h

comparing both areas we find that if base and height of triangle is doubled its area will also get doubled

hope it helps u
