A = 1/2*B*H

Base doubled, height halved. --> A = 1/2*2B*1/2H

The 1/2 and 2 cancel out to leave A = 1/2*B*H, so the area is b) unchanged.

area of a triangle is 1/2*Base*Height

we are given that the base is halved and height is doubled, so we get the following result-:

1/2*2B*1/2H

=1/2*B*H

Therefore the area will remain unchanged.
