If the base of an isosceles triangle measures 24cm and its area is 60cm2 find its perimeter

This is very simple.
Draw a perpindicular on the base.
the perpr. divides the base into two equal parts.
and the two Triangle formed are congruent to each other.hence they will have same area
so the area of one of triangle will be half of the total area.
putting the formula of finding area of triangle one by two into base into height
you will find height it is equal to 10 cm
by Pythagoras Theorem you can find the one side of the isosceles triangle
the 2 sides u can get by that.
Now u have height of the whole triangle
now put that on the formulae for calculating whole area u will get the base.
Hence add all the sides u will get the solution.
