Given :

The depth of bottom of the ship below the sea level = 15.8m

Density of sea water = 1030 kg/m³

To Find :

The pressure at the bottom of the ship

Solution :

  • We know the formula

         Pressure at the bottom of the sea = ρ×g×h

  • P = ρ×g×h

       P = 1030 × 9.8 × 15.8

       P = 159485.2 pa

       P = 1.59 bar

The pressure at the bottom of the ship is 1.59 bar
