8x=32×3

8x=96

x=96/8

x=12 cm

Let ,

Length of a rectangle (l) = x

So , Breadth of a rectangle (b) = x/3

Given ,

Perimeter of rectangle = 32 cm

We know that , the perimeter of rectangle is given by

  \pink { \large \fbox{ \fbox{ \sf \: Perimeter \:  of  \: rectangle = 2(l + b)}}}

Substitute the values , we obtain

 \sf \implies 32 = 2(x +  \frac{x}{3} ) \\  \\  \sf \implies \frac{32}{2}  =  \frac{3x + x}{3}  \\  \\  \sf \implies16 (3)= 4x \\  \\ \sf \implies 48  = 4x \\  \\  \sf \implies x =  \frac{48}{4}  \\  \\ \sf \implies  x = 12

Thus , length = 12 cm & breadth = 4 cm
