Solution :-

Let Length of the rectangle = x unit .

So, breadth of the rectangle = 3x unit .

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2( Length + Breadth )

So,

88 = 2( x + 3x )

88 = 2 × 4x

88 = 8x

x = 88/8

x = 11

So, Length of rectangle = 11 unit .

∵ Breadth of the rectangle is 3 times of Length

∴ Breadth = 3 × 11

= 33 unit

Therefore,

Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

= 11 × 33

= 363 unit²

Hence, Area of the rectangle is 363 unit²
