If the cell had been placed in distilled water instead of strong sugar solution which feature would not have been present????

1.)The cell is placed in distilled water in this case,which means that the solution is hypotonic.
2.) The water concentration is more in the surroundings than that of the cell which makes the distilled water enter the cell and makes it bulge in size
3.) in case of a sugar solution the water concentration is less in the surroundings which makes the water from the cell enter in to the surroundings
both the processes mentioned above happen through osmosis

Moreover , the cell membrane would have been in fully turgid condition attached with the cell wall
