To find : the area of the triangle in sq. cm

Solution:

The circumcenter of a right triangle lies exactly at the midpoint of the hypotenuse

Circum radius of right angle triangle = hypotenuse /2

=> hypotenuse /2 = 10 cm

=> hypotenuse = 20 cm

One side = 12 cm

Another side = √20² - 12²

=> Another side = √ 400 - 144

=> Another side = √256

=> Another side = 16 cm

Area of right angle triangle = (1/2) 12 x 16

= 96 cm²

area of the triangle = 96 cm²
