If the class mark of continuous frequency distribution are 22,30,38 ,46,54,62 then find the class corresponding to the class mark 46

Since the class marks are equally spaced

Difference between class marks=h=8

If a is class mark, h is the class difference,then

lower limit and upper limit of class are:
a-h/2 and a+h/2

lower limit  :46-8/2  =46-4=42

upper limit: 46+8/2 =46+4=50

Hence the class corresponding to marks 46 is 42-50

The difference of class marks are, h=8

Where,

a = class marks and

h =class difference.

Lower \ limit \ of \ class, = a - \frac {h} {2}

Upper \ limit \ of \ class, = a + \frac {h} {2}

Lower \ limit = 46 - \frac {8}{2}

= 46 - 4 = 42

Upper \ limit = 46 + \frac {8}{2}

= 46 + 4

= 50
