let us first find the discriminant.

if

D>0 roots are real and distinct

D=0 roots are equal

D<0 roots are imaginary

to calculate discriminant

D = b²-4ac

equation given = 2x²-3x+2=0

where

a=2

b=-3

c=2

\tt D=(-3)^2 -4×2×2

\tt D = 9-16

\tt D=-7

since the discrimant is less than 0,

roots are imaginary

hope this helps!!
