The coefficient of friction is dependent on the type of material. It doesn’t depend on the angle between the surfaces. Its the ratio of the effective frictional force to that of the normal force. Since the normal force is always perpendicular to the surface, the angle of the surfaces is irrelevant. And if the coefficient of friction is 1, it just means that the frictional force is equal to the normal force.

Answer:

The required angle of friction is 45°.

Explanation:

We know

\mu= \frac{N}{f}

Here

\mu=

Coefficients of fraction.

N = Reaction force.

f = acceleration

N=mg \cos(x)

and f=mg \sin(x)

Where x is angle of friction.

So,

\mu= \frac{mgsinx}{mgcosx}  =  \frac{sinx}{cosx} =tanx

If we know value of coefficients of fraction then easily we can find angle of friction.

Given coefficients of friction is 1.

Therefore

\mu = 1

So,

 \tan(x)  = 1

 \tan(x)  =  \tan( {45}^{o} )

x =  {45}^{o}

So angle of friction is 45°.
