CP of 10 greeting cards = SP of 8 greeting cards

Solution

Let the SP of 1 greeting cards be ₹(x). Then,

SP of 8 greeting cards = ₹8

CP of 8 greeting cards = ₹8

SP of 10 greeting cards = ₹10

SP > CP = Gain

Gain = SP - CP

= ₹(10 - 8)

= ₹2

Gain % = Gain/CP × 100

= 2/8 × 100

= 25 %
