If the density of ice is 0.9 g cm -3, what portion of an iceberg will remain below the surface of the water in a sea? (Density of sea water =1.1g cm -3)

The fractional submerged volume is given by

v'/v=density of solid/density of liquid

v'/v=0.9/1.1=9/11

Therefore 2/11 part of the iceberg will remain on the surface.
