In a square, all the angles are right angles. Apply Pythagoras Theorem for the diagonal and the other two sides between which it lies.
Let the side of the square be 'a'.

 a^{2}  a^{2}  32^{2}

2 a^{2} = 1024

 a^{2} = 1024 / 2

 a^{2} = 512

a =  \sqrt{512}

a = 22.62 cm

Hope it helps! Thanq!!
