If the diameter of the C atom = 0.15 x 10-9 m

and One carbon atom occupies 0.15 x 10-9m then the

number of carbon atoms which can be placed side by side in a vertical line over the length of scale of length 20 cm long.

20 x 10-2 m/0.15 x 10-9m =1.33 x 109

Answer: 1.33*10^9 atoms

Explanation:

hey there!!! hope it helps

  given that: diameter= 0.15 nm i.e 1.5 *10^-10 m

length of the scale =20cm i.e 2*10^-1m

no.of carbon atoms =

                     n*1.5*10^-10m= 2*10^-1m

      n=2*10^-1/1.5*106-10

   answer: 1.33*10^9 carbon atoms.....

good luck!!!!!!
